Anguilla: Day 2

So, for our first day out in Anguilla, we basically stayed at the resort (which is AWESOME by the way), enjoyed some room service for breakfast, relaxed on Viceroy's (the resort we are staying at) private beach, had lunch at Aleta, and then had dinner with Scott's company by the Bamboo Pool Deck.  Since it was the Welcome Reception our dinner looked like it came straight from a wedding magazine!!  We definitely are spoiled here and the people are soooo friendly!!  Oh and I forgot to mention... there was this HUGE yacht parked in the bay outside of our room for 2 days.  We found out what was housed on this boat... A helicopter (yes.. a freaking helicopter!!), a submarine (I know right?!?!), about 4 smaller boats, missle-proof glass, and it was HUGE!  It is owned by Russian- Roman Abromovich and is the largest yacht built (and estimated at over $1 BILLION dollars!).  It is said that it is used as a ferry to him and his family around the islands... ummm can I have this?!?!?!  Oh and did I forget to mention... he owns Chelsea (the soccer team).

Tonight's gift was that we picked flowers (roses, daisies, orchids, etc. to be arranged in a vase (that we get to keep) and it was delivered to our room during dinnertime.

How we spent Day 2 at the Viceroy...
*Scott had a company meeting and I ordered room service for breakfast... Had the Viceroy Special... YUM!
*Scott and I ventured out to Mead's Bay which is on the west side of the resort.  We were impressed that there was Viceroy staff to bring us beach chairs, towels, water, and drinks or food from the Bamboo Bar.
*Enjoyed yummy lunch at Aleta... I had the Island Mixed Greens and the Wild Mushroom Pizza and Scott had the Fish and Chips (Menu seen here)
*We ended the night with the Resmed Welcome Reception and picked our flowers for our gift.  Although it rained during cocktail hour, we had a fun bonding time with a few other couples underneath the umbrella by the bar until the rain passed (about 10 minutes).  For dinner we enjoyed the local dishes.  They had a buffet spread of crayfish (I guess it's inbetween a lobster and a crawfish... but so yummy), coconut rice, bbq chicken, pork tenderloin, roasted veggies, salads, pastas, and so much more!!  They also had a bonfire on the beach with a dessert table for us to enjoy.

I forgot what I had, but I wanted Scott's drink instead!
