Our flight itinerary included leaving San Diego at 9pm to Los Angeles. We left Los Angles on a red-eye to Miami and arrived around 7:30am. Spent about 3 hours at the Miami-Dade Airport, then took our final flight to St. Maarten!! When we finally got to St. Maarten and after almost 45 minutes of waiting for our luggage, we took a private charter boat to Anguilla. I will say that the long traveling adventure was well worth it. We arrived at the Viceroy Resort and were taken to the private villa that was reserved for Resmed (you were able to go to the villa throughout the week to book excursions, book spa appointments, ask questions, get drinks/food, WHATEVER!!!) This villa was insane! It had it's own private infinity pool, a huge living room area, 2 master bedrooms, a full kitchen, and was on it's own little private property of the resort! And... I don't even know if anyone stayed in there!! Then... when we were escorted to our room, I was incredibly impressed!!! All I could say was WOW!!! Our room is HUGE and has a private dipping pool on the balcony. We sleep with our doors open because we have a great view of the ocean and fall asleep to the waves crashing. Our bathroom is bigger than our master bedroom at home AND we have a walk-in closet and a huge tub! AND BEST OF ALL... IT'S ALL FREE!!! And when I say free... I mean FREE!! We even get presents every night AND cash to spend!!!! WOW!!
Tonight's present was a really nice backpack for Scott, and a super cute woven tote bag for me. Both came with monogrammed beach towels and some sunscreen.
How we spent our day 1 at the Viceroy...
*Checked out the Resmed Villa (still in shock that they rented out this villa for the week and I don't think anyone stayed in there!!)
*Checked into our room
*Had dinner and enjoyed the live music at the Sunset Lounge
*Went back to the Resmed villa to get my massage (#1 of 4 massages for the week) next to the pool
*Tried out our private dipping pool on the balcony
*Headed to bed early to get an early start (and because Scott had a meeting in the morning)
Can I say again how amazing this resort is?!?!?! AMAZING!! :)
I've already started looking into other Viceroy locations... Miami, Palm Springs, Snowmass, Santa Monica, Abu Dhabi, Maldives, and more!! I want to go to them all!!!
